Latching Crane Systems

A latching crane, equipped with SWF hoists
RHC Lifting latching cranes offer total freedom when moving loads around factories with cranes in a number of crane bays. With normal overhead gantry cranes, the movement of the load is restricted to the bay the crane is positioned. However, with an RHC Lifting latching crane system, the load can be transferred across multiple crane bays, to allow full long and cross-travel motions without having to lower the load.

Latching cranes eradicates the need to lower loads or move loads via further material handling equipment and saves: time, and the cost for other material handling equipment, and increases safety and productivity.

Safety features include limit switches creep, speeds, and mechanical stops to ensure the hoist can be transferred to the adjacent beams without compromising safety. Crane and hoist transfer points can be located in the most appropriate position.

Latching crane systems can be retrofitted to existing crane systems or can be integrated into the design of new crane systems. RHC Lifting's latch system can also be supplied to you for your engineer to fit.

RHC Lifting has installed a number of latching crane systems including at GKN Aerospace and Airbus UK more information can be found on each system by clicking on the link.
