Industrial Radio Remote for Gantry Cranes & Lifting Applications

The Air8 is an industrial radio remote control system designed for overhead gantry cranes, hoists & other lifting equipment applications. However, as the Air8 is highly programmable it offers a safe, reliable, user-friendly and affordable radio system for a variety of applications.

The Air8 is ideal for the lifting industry; Overhead Cranes, Bridge Gantry Cranes, Electric Chain Hoists, winches; because it offers high levels of safety and a rugged design, all with a 2-year warranty at a budget friendly price.

The Air8 function button can be programmed for a variety of functions including dual hoist operation A/B/A+B.

The Air8 complies with the latest requirements of EN ISO 13849-1 (Safety of Machinery - Safety-related parts of control systems) and provides fail-safe behaviour for both the stop.

The Air8 has AUTEC’s automatic channel search function, this allows the transmitting unit to select a free frequency when powered up, and will switch to another of the 256 channels available if interference occurs. This function means that the Air8 has a high resistance to interference removing the need to plan frequency usage and allowing limitless radios to operate in the same area.

With a pair of code keys and short procedure, the Air8 system allows for an easy replacement of transmitters, so if purchased as a two transmitter kit any downtime will be reduced to a minimum.

Other functions include: 3 minute timeout, pin sequence to prevent start up from unauthorized personnel, range limited start-up.

The Air8 has two battery options; A4/6/8 has a single internal Li-Ion battery which can last more than 40 hours from one charge and the A4B/6B/8B has two extractable external Li-Ion batteries. As with all Autec radio remote systems the transmitter is a robust IP65 design and has been dropped tested to 1.5 meters.
