Apprentice Crane Engineer

The Apprentice Crane Engineer will train towards a Level 3 qualification in electro-mechanical engineering, gaining hands-on experience in crane and lifting equipment maintenance alongside the company's engineering team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs
  • Developing technical knowledge and skills
  • Supporting the company’s engineering capabilities


Training & Qualifications:

  • Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician Level 3
  • Training at City of Bristol College (Advanced Engineering Centre)
  • Entry requirements: GCSEs in English & Maths (Grade 4/C)
  • Must obtain a full UK driving licence by the end of the first year


Additional Details:

  • Active role – applicants must be physically fit and comfortable working at heights
  • Company van, uniform, and PPE provided

Radio Remote Control Technician


RHC Lifting is offering an exciting Radio Remote Control Technician Apprenticeship, providing hands-on experience with advanced wireless control systems for cranes and lifting equipment. Apprentices will learn from industry experts, develop electrical and programming skills, and earn valuable qualifications while getting paid.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs of radio remote controls
  • Developing technical knowledge and skills in this specialist field
  • Contributing to the company’s engineering expertise


Training & Qualifications:

  • Engineering Operative Level 2 (focus on engineering operations)
  • Training at City of Bristol College (Advanced Engineering Centre)
  • Entry requirements: GCSEs in English & Maths (Grade 4/C)


Additional Details:

  • Duration: 2 years
  • Location: Workshop-based in Yate (BS37 5PG)
  • Uniform and PPE provided
  • 25 days holiday plus public holidays

  • Progression: Become a fully qualified Radio Control Technician, specializing in installation, maintenance, and repairs
